Important Information
Before any stay, we always like to arrange an initial meet and greet — a single day of day care where your dog gets to come and check us out, and we get to know them, before any boarding begins. Where needed, a 24-hour period may also be arranged for newcomers. It’s a chance for your dog to get a feel for our home, our routine, and the other dogs here — so that when their proper stay begins, they’re already relaxed and settled rather than finding their feet from scratch.
A trial day with us is a minimum requirement before any boarding period.

Drop off / Collection times
Drop-off for boarders is at 5.00pm.
Collection is at 10.00am or 10.30am — your slot will be confirmed in advance so there’s no waiting around.
Food
We don’t provide food here — not because we’re being awkward, but because keeping your dog on their usual diet is genuinely the kindest thing we can do for them, especially in a new environment. Please bring enough to cover the full stay, plus a little extra in case of any extension.
We’ll ask you to let us know the correct portion size and feeding schedule for your dog — whether that’s two meals a day, three for a younger dog, or smaller, more frequent portions for an older one.
We’re also experienced in handling raw and BARF feeding, so please don’t hesitate to mention it.
If your dog uses a specific bowl — a slow feeder, for example — bring it along. Otherwise, we provide standard bowls. Fresh water is always available, both indoors and outdoors.
Bedding
No need to bring a bed unless you’d particularly like to. Every boarder gets their own soft duvet and cover — we like to think of it as five-star luxury for four-legged guests.
Walks and Exercise
Every dog is different, and we work with you to understand what your dog actually needs — not just a one-size-fits-all routine. We have a selection of harnesses and extending leads here, but if your dog has their own that they’re used to, please do bring them along.
Vet Care
Should a vet visit be needed, we have two trusted local vets we work with, chosen depending on the nature of the visit. Vet trips are charged at €20 per visit. Further details are available on request.
Bedtime Biscuits
A nightly biscuit is a firm part of our bedtime routine — a small but important signal that the day is done and it’s time to rest. We’ll skip it if you’d prefer, just let us know.
Crates
Love them or not a fan — we have four crates available (mini, small, medium, and large) for dogs who sleep in one at home and whose owners want to keep that consistency. Just let us know and we’ll have it ready.
Sofas
Some Some dogs are sofa dogs. Some aren’t. Either is absolutely fine here — we just ask that you let us know your preference and we’ll stick to it throughout the stay.owners do not mind their dogs cuddling up on the sofa, others do not. Either way, let us know your preference and we will stick to it.
Medication
If your dog is on regular medication — tablets, drops, spot-on treatments, or anything else — please don’t let that put you off booking. I’m experienced in handling a range of medications and will follow your instructions carefully and consistently throughout their stay.
I can also deal with minor ailments that occasionally crop up during a stay — things like mild ear infections or insect bites — so if something small develops, you won’t be getting a panic call. You’ll get a calm, sensible update and I’ll handle it.
Anything more serious and I’ll be in touch with you straight away, and my two local vets are always on hand if needed.
Updates During Your Dog’s Stay
I know that handing your dog over and driving away is the hardest part. So I make sure you don’t spend the whole time wondering how they’re getting on.
I send photo updates throughout your dog’s stay — the kind that make you smile rather than worry. You’ll see them settling in, pottering about the garden, and generally living their best life. It won’t be a running commentary, but it will be enough to reassure you that they’re happy, comfortable, and very much at home.
What to Bring
To make your dog’s stay as smooth and comfortable as possible, here’s a handy checklist of everything to pack:
- Enough food to cover the full stay, plus a little extra
- Your dog’s food portion instructions (or the scoopy that you use to measure food out)
- Any medication, clearly labelled with dosage and timing instructions
- Any harness or walking aid if your dog has a preferred one
- Vaccination records / AHC / Carnet de Santé
That’s it — I take care of everything else. 🐾
